Practical Training covers:
- Identification marks, test certification and thorough examination documents
- Identifying load weights and centres of gravity
- Characteristics of lifting accessories including effects of angles and attaching methods
- Selection of lifting accessories including uniform load method.
- Following method statements and other instructions, including preparation of work area
- How to sling various loads including balanced, unbalanced and loose
- How to deliver signals to the lifting appliance operator using different forms of communication
- How to lift and accurately place various loads including test lifts, to and from confined and ‘blind’ areas
- How to keep within safe working parameters
- Storage of lifting accessories
