Practical Training covers:

  • Identification marks, test certification and thorough examination documents
  • Identifying load weights and centres of gravity
  • Characteristics of lifting accessories including effects of angles and attaching methods
  • Selection of lifting accessories including uniform load method.
  • Following method statements and other instructions, including preparation of work area
  • How to sling various loads including balanced, unbalanced and loose
  •  How to deliver signals to the lifting appliance operator using different forms of communication
  • How to lift and accurately place various loads including test lifts, to and from confined and ‘blind’ areas
  • How to keep within safe working parameters
  • Storage of lifting accessories
